      Entrevista

      Applied online and then received a call from the recruiter about 2 days later for a phone screen. The recruiter told me he was new to the role so they were still trying to 'figure stuff out', which is understandable but showed. He was friendly during the call and then advised that he'd like to progress my application to the next round, which was a case study exercise. I was given 2 days to analyse a dataset and recommend business improvements based on the insights I uncovered. The brief was very ambiguous and no context was given as to what they were looking for. The dataset had so many formatting errors, probably by design, it took up most of my time to correct. Nevertheless, I managed to pull together a list of recommendations. It took another 3 days for the recruiter to come back to me to let me know that they'd like to progress to the next round which was a series of 3 interviews with Australian based staff. The interviewers were a mixed bag. The first was distracted and was more worried about how much work they needed to get done today than focusing on the interview. The second came across as friendly but was very inexperienced. The third was a joy to speak with; totally engaged and gave helpful context of the company and role. 4 days later I got a call from a random person in recruitment advising that I hadn't been successful as the interviewers felt that my operations experience wasn't deep enough. Overall, given the time I needed to invest with the case study, the experience was quite poor. It showed that they were entering a new market with little recruitment/interviewing experience. It felt like their daily workload was extremely overwhelming so they had little time to invest in a solid talent acquisition/interview process, which was disappointing.

      They reached out to me (cold) for a phone screen and then didn’t reply to set up availability until I reminded them. I asked for a job description and was ignored. The phone screen switched to a zoom call and he dove into interview questions - a pre interview to decide if he wanted to interview me. I found it to be really pompous, and disrespectful of my time - like they liked to catch people off guard.

      Poor interview process. Recruiter contacted me to chat. Informed me that they would be sending me an assessment to take and moving me on to the next steps. Ultimately recruiter did not send an assessment and after multiple follow-ups, got ghosted. Company has a reputation of ghosting you mid-process, buyer beware.
