Routine screening round by a recruiter. A few days later a 2nd round with the hiring manager. Behavioral round and was told I’d move to the next round (presentation). And even to reach out to him and the recruitment team if I didn’t hear back (they are doing lots of hiring). No response for a week. Followed up and a day later was told it got moved to another recruiter and it will take some time to schedule. Said thank you so much, still interested, looking forward to it etc. Got a rejection email shortly after. Never been misled like this during an interview process before. I got nervous as I saw that this happened to others for NYC mid/senior level roles, but just didn’t think It would happen as I enjoyed my time with the hiring manager. Very disappointing experience and I hope they can take this feedback seriously so others don’t experience this avoidable situation.
