Based on my experience, I suggest that you avoid this company. I applied for a Machine Learning Engineer position. My first contact with the two founders was on 2/11. I was invited to do their take-home problem on 2/27. I did well on it, and was invited to an on-site interview which we scheduled for 3/15. On a positive note, the process was refreshingly different than the typical company interview. The three people I interacted with seemed intelligent, nice, and friendly. Of course, it is relatively easy to put on a good show when a company wants to recruit you. A more meaningful assessment has to do if people communicate well in difficult situations and keep their word, which leads to the next part of the experience. On 3/21, Ejenta's CEO gave me a verbal job offer. She told me I was "perfect" for the role. Over the next three weeks, I patiently waited. During this time, the CEO said at least two times that she would send me a written offer within a couple of days. Unfortunately, she often missed her own deadlines by several days. Only after I followed up did she get back in contact. After the three weeks had gone by, the CEO backtracked and said they were not going to extend a written offer. It is a big red flag for a company to break their word after making a verbal offer. The CEO gave explanations, but they did not add up to me. I wondered if perhaps she was not being open about the financial and hiring situation. Overall, this was an awful overall experience. The process took about 9 weeks -- abnormally slow for a three person startup. It was disappointing and a waste of time and energy. Steer clear.
