First interview with HR lasted about 5 minutes. Right of the bat wanted to know the salary expectation. Unfortunately, with this type of position, I was unable to give a salary range without speaking with the hiring manager and assessing the job responsibilities, how it relates to my past experience, and what kind of value I would bring to the role. The recruiter then asked how much I make currently and what kind of percentage increase I was looking for. My current role is not comparable to this role and I was not comfortable sharing that info. I asked for their range multiple times as well and the recruiter refused to share that information and then said that the interview could not proceed if I did not share my current salary. I said okay and he ended the interview. It was a complete waste of time as I had done extensive research on the company and the role. Should have checked the reviews here first.
