Was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter asking if I’d be interested in learning more about the position. I had never heard of the company but it seemed like they were doing interesting things in the DTC life space so I said sure. Had a standard screen, asked some probing questions that the recruiter needed to check with the hiring manager on. Two weeks later I got an email saying they were pursuing other candidates for a job I never even officially applied for. No feedback on why they went another direction, just a faceless, no information, two-sentence email. I would expect more from a rising startup, but it looks like the recruitment process here is just as mundane as those at the “dinosaur” companies they are claiming to disrupt. You all can do better.
