The process consisted of 3 interviews plus an assignment. The assignment comes after the first interview and the second interview is based on how well you understood the assignment. The third interview was basically a repetition of the first and second interviews (somewhat confusing as you are asked the same questions for another hour). I actually was enjoying the interviewing process from the start. I felt really comfortable and like they enjoyed me too. They have constant positive reinforcement and sounded excited to speak with me. They even said things like: “no other candidate has ever thought of that before!” “We were really impressive with your assignment” “you are a really kind individual!” - these types of statements give you the impression you’re doing something right… right? Unfortunately, the end of the process got a bit weird. The third interview was super strange as the second interviewer was 20 minutes late and the first interviewer left 5 minutes early - at this point I already felt out of the running. This confused me as to why they even offered me a third interview? Why waste everyone’s time? To make matters more awkward the third interview was just a repetition of everything already asked in the first two interviews - I felt this to be quite strange and rather unnecessary. It felt as though the interviewers had already selected someone and were trying to find reasons to not choose me. This was uncomfortable because of the positive feedback I was getting before - then it felt like they needed an excuse to not select me. I got really uncomfortable and awkward vibes from them. This left a sour taste in my mouth. A week later, unsurprisingly, I found out I was not selected. It’s too bad because up until that third interview regardless of being selected I would have considered the interview process rather positive.
