Three (!!!) negative interview experiences in four years -- color me impressed. I think this company may want to take a hard look at its Talent Acquisition function because, based on other feedback, it looks like I'm not alone here. Experience #1: Was contacted by a headhunter. Went through multiple phone screens .... and then radio silence. Found out my status when I happened to catch a company recruiter at his desk. Experience #2, about six months later: Contacted by a recruiter, if memory serves. Multiple phone screens. Two hours of onsite interviews, including time with a senior executive. Asked to return two days later for a tour of the facility. And then ... radio silence. Again. Experience #3: Contacted by a headhunter. Was hesitant to even consider it after essentially being "ghosted" twice already, but decided it may be an interesting role. Had a Teams interview that seemed to go well -- I was even informed that I would be advanced to onsite interviews with local senior leaders. And then ... radio silence for two weeks. Received an email from the headhunter letting me know that Graphic decided to go with an internal applicant. All in all, this was clearly time well-spent on each occasion. Hiring is a difficult process with many moving parts, I completely and totally understand that. However ... common professional courtesy really doesn't seem that difficult and in this respect, this employer falls woefully short of even minimal standards. And yes, I explored the third opportunity against my better judgment after my first two experiences so I suppose some of this is on me. I imagine there's a maxim out there that says, "Fool me three times ... I completely deserved it."
