Entrevista
I was approached by a recruiter for a role with GACI as a Sr. Project Manager with an IT background. The initial call was with the hiring manager, it was listed as a 'casual interview'. Most of the questions were general in nature, some work experience and as it was described 'casual'. I was then given a 2nd round interview for some basic situational questions with the same person. Next I was given another interview with a peer and more situational type questions. I was then interviewed again by the hiring manager and more of the same situational type questions. I was given the opportunity to share more about my work experience at this time. Next I was asked to go in for an in person interview. During this interview I met with another person who would be my peer, they gave me a tour of the offices, explained a bit more about the role I was interviewing for and also their role. I then met with a panel of 5 other people, some of whom I would be working with on their various projects. The feedback I received was that I controlled the room with my responses and that I had very good communication skills. I was eventually not offered the role. It seems as though there may have been one or more of the people I met with in the last interview who felt I wasn't strong enough in a certain area that was really not ever covered in the job description or in the initial interview and screening. The amount of hoops and calls and interviews a candidate has to move through was lengthy and I understand the investment from the company's side, however, if there is a shift of what the requirements are this should be given to as soon as they are available instead of multiple interviews that lead the candidate to false hope.
