I went one step deeper and explained that there might be different leaves such as casual, sick, optiona, earned etc. And based on the leave availability and no of leaves takes, I would do a simple calculation by summing total leave and subtracting it from number of working days or total days attended by employee from the total working days (being a better method for orgrnization)
