I stated that I thought I did quite well based on some of the conversations I had with roughly eight interviewers. I mentioned some of the discussion that I had had with those that I seemed to be able to establish an easy rapport. He did not seem to be satisfied with that answer. I added that some of the interviewers were not as open and more difficult to read. The CIO banged his hand down on the desk and sternly said: "I would expect that any PM that I would hire would be able to walk into a room, and immediately assess the situation accurately." Further discussion with him revealed that he had followed me through my interview schedule, and grilled each department head as I left each room. I asked him if his behavior was reflective of his managerial style. He said yes. I could not get out of there fast enough.
