I start by listening more than talking. Early on, my goal isn’t to sell anything. It’s to understand what matters to them, how they make decisions, and what they’re worried about financially. I explain things in plain language, set clear expectations, and I’m upfront about fees and trade-offs. Trust comes from doing what you say you’re going to do and staying consistent over time, especially when markets are uncomfortable.
