Many times children act out because they want attention. The best way to get this child to focus on you is bring him or her to the front of the class and have them explain what it is you were trying to relay to children or have them assist you in doing such. Giving them a take with a detailed purpose makes them feel a sense of accomplishment. Everyone wants to feel that they did something right no matter the age.
