How do you deal with difficult customers?

I approach difficult customers with patience, empathy, and a problem-solving mindset. First, I listen actively to understand their concerns without interrupting. I stay calm and respectful, even if the customer is frustrated, because I know that staying composed helps de-escalate the situation. Then, I clarify the issue and work to find a resolution that aligns with company policies while also addressing the customer’s needs. If I can’t solve the problem immediately, I reassure them that I will follow up—and I make sure to follow through. My goal is always to turn a negative experience into a positive one by making the customer feel heard and valued.
