How do you design a platform that has both real time and PC components using embedded linux? why would you use that?

First Answer) If you are designing a system that runs on embedded linux then that system is already running an embedded platform, by PC I assume you refer to a not real-time system such as windows or linux servers therefore my answer is using linux server for the not real time system and embedded linux for the real time system
