BA and PM are very different skill sets, despite industry frequently lumping them together. PMs are focused more on resource management, working agreements, schedules. BAs focus on getting to know the business processes that need fixing, how issues affect the end users, how to garner consensus on a new process, AND translate that POV to the technical team making system changes.
