I responded that I would prefer not to work on weekends or overtime if possible, but that I understood the occasional need for it. I believe that pushing code, and fixing code needs to be timely, or that if a project deadline is coming up, and that tasks are behind schedule that it would be needed to work late, that it would be understandable. Working in the tech field, there are often times for late night prod releases or for weekend releases as well.
