I handle them pretty well. Knowing that difficult situation can be a recipe for disaster, I always prepare and plan on how to successfully tackle them to produce optimum outcomes. On one faithful occasion in my current work, I was tasked to amass about 20 special tools required to complete an urgent maintenance for two aircrafts that have been struck by thunderstorm within just a day. Upon making a phone call to the Supply department, it was made known to me that some of the tools were on-station and others were off-station. How to get them within a day became a very daunting task. I attempted to ask for more time from the maintenance manager but that was not an option. I quickly coordinated with each shop's manager to loan me one employee to help in this assignment. I briefed them, brainstormed ideas, delegated responsibilities, gathered all the logistics, and deployed all of them to fish for the different tools. Within 6 hours, we rounded up with all the tools ready for the aircraft maintenance job. In the end, all the aircraft became operational and pilots were able to achieve 100 percent on their training qualification requirements. My team was also honored with a letter of Appreciation and I also bought the 3 boxes of pizza to show appreciation for their support.
