How do you handle an irate customer?

Acknowledge their concern. Have a low tone voice so that they can mimic your behavior. Step the customer to the side so that it’s doesnt disrupt the other customers and staff. Then take ownership of that customer so that they feel comfortable and confident that you can assist them. lastly find a solution, there might not always be one, although an apology might just be all the customer needs.
