How do you handle difficult people?

They are looking for customer service skills and want to know you can handle being screamed at without screaming back. People can be very difficult during the claims process and quite mean. They want to know you can maintain professionalism and be understanding of the person on the other end of the line but also maintain your position or be able to effectively communicate the process to the claimant.
