There was a time in my product development life cycle when my lead engineer was not happy with the choice of technology solution by the architect. We sat down as a team along with other experienced architects and lead engineers across the application to understand the pros and cons of both the options and finally arrived at a conclusion. Many a times conflicts arise when the a party doesn't know or understand where the other party is coming from, meaning there are differences in the type of experiences they both have had. When all the experiences are discussed, it becomes easy to note down the pros and cons of the available options and this makes the decision easier.
