(Applied for full-time F&B Supervisor position) I responded with "in the neighborhood of high 40's to 50K". The interviewer looked at me with shock. "That's Manager pay" she replied. I asked, Is it salary? (no) Then, knowing I was in a compensation cesspool meekly said a lowball, "$15 per hour". She replied with "No, $14.50/hr." So I'm recognizing that the servers and bartenders I am supervising will make more than me. Frankly I was appalled considering the responsibilities, 24/7 desired availability and full-time status.
