Initally - None of your business.  Was pressed into an answer.  Not hiding anything, just don't like my power to negotiate compensation taken away.

They also pressed me to tell them my current salary, which I did, and really didn't like divulging, but after I told them the amount they came back with a very generous offer that I accepted.
