How retail management software controls the stock transfer between different outlets? How accounting works?

I have realized that I am not comfortable in accounting and some software development processes. I have informed my management that I am primarily an Artist and I can manage CRM with it. I can handle html, some css and Database connectivity with CMS like Wordpress and Joomla but nothing more.
