How would I handle a difficult or uncooperative client in a session?

There are many reasons a person may be unwilling to cooperate in this situation. Especially, if they did not want to have this type of support. The best way to overcome this is by taking the time to get to know the client and build trust. Soon you will find out why they may not want assistance and also find some areas that they can use a little help with and maybe willing to take your support. In many cases this could be a case of ego. An employee can think they are getting assistance because they're in trouble or wonder why they weren't given the instructional position in the first place. It's important to assure that your support is employee growth driven. In the case of an employee who doesn't see why they need the assistance, you ask them to for their advice on things as a way to show respect for what they bring to the table.
