How would you get 16 equal pieces from a round cake using only 4 straight line cuts?

Cut the cake vertically like + (2 cuts) and cuts it horizontally twice(2 cuts) so that you have 4 pieces if you count horizontal pieces. Horizontally 4 x veritcally 4 = 16 pieces.
