There is NO such thing as an"appropriate inmate advance". I have always told new nurses that an inmate should NEVER make you feel uncomfortable. A security officer should be nearby; get their attention and step away from the inmate. If you feel that something just didn't 'feel right' about an encounter with an inmate- ask a seasoned correctional officer in confidence.
