How would you handle irate customer

First I would make an attempt to calm the customer down by trying to find common ground and apologizing about any inconvenience. Then I would proceed to offer the customer something to make them happy, even if I have to personally take care of it. A happy customer will always come back and will tell their family and friends about their experience. That could possibly bring in more sales.

Being calm and understand what the customer is irate about and assure the customer that I'm there for him/her and to be of help in any possible and get what the customer needs
