I said I would begin by reviewing what they currently had in their CRM and getting a better idea of the service I would be pitching. I'd also conduct competitor research to get a clear understanding of what I was dealing with. The hiring manager didn't like that answer and said there wasn't anything happening in the CRM from the previous person they hired.
