I would use it on ways it is not supposed to be used. Use it without reading instructions on how to use it, try to figured it out how to use it by using it. This way I can simulate misuse and how it will survive to these situations so I can build more robust and resilient products. Test to prove it works does not make it a better product, try to break it and ask what ifs makes it better.
