I had a call with a recruiter, who showed interest and sent a link to attempt an online coding assessment. I spent almost 2 hour 20 minutes to get it right. To be fair those hours were the most wasteful hours of my life. Not because I lacked the enthusiasm to complete the assessment or about the job opportunity itself. It is because what happened afterwards. As already a lot of people said, no response from the recruiter, emailed the recruiter after a week, no response again. I am experienced software developer who have conducted interviews myself, but lack of respect for people who spend time in the process is really infuriating. I can understand you guys get a lot of applications, but this is no way to treat a senior developer applying for jobs at the company.
