I said I could handle it and I did. The problem was that Vogel’s management couldn’t deal with constructive criticism. It is plausible that a firm could hire someone who simply was out of his or her league. On the other hand, a red flag should go up when a firm has a continuous stream of seemingly qualified new hires that end up failing. Prudent management would complete a self-critique in order to discover how they may be contributing to the problem. Vogel isn’t prudent.
