I told them I will be an immediate joiner and I am asking just 15% hike on the current offer that I am holding. He was being very rude and asked me if I knew what the managers or leads were earning in he current market scenario. I told them that depends on candidate to candidate basis, whether he is capable to justify what his expectations are. To that he said "Whatever... let me not waste my time" and hung up. I understand every organisation has their salary bracket which can vary. I would have understood that if you would have told me that it is not possible to match up to your expectations. Instead I get an arrogant interviewer who might think that probably in 3-4 years time I might surpass his salary bracket. Such behavior is not expected out of anyone when you are representing your organization. Being said, I am happy that the HR at least spoke to me in a nice and calm manner when I asked what went wrong with the interviewer. I was told that he would take this up with him.
