I would refuse to wait until I am called. I would pick up an application by way of front desk or human resources. I would fill it out and return it, asking to speak with someone in the hiring department rather than simply leaving it in someone's file for a review "maybe" six months from now, or possibly never! If that was not possible I would ask to speak with someone in the Human Resources department. I would then explain why I was there and give them my resume. I would explain that I am seeking immediate full-time work, and I am able to work in several fields....but my preference would be....Bell hop or some sort of customer service. If I was told I would receive a call in such n such time, I would ask them who I need to speak with to be hired for a position, I would thank them for their time and I would go into the Human Resources department at least once a week, if not twice....asking to speak to the person I was referred to, or the person I spoke to, until I was told to never return again or I had a job! I would not sit idle waiting for them to completely forget about me! I would make sure they knew me well!
