The question was looking for a use of interfaces to abstract logic into something like the Strategy Pattern. It's possible the interviewer would have accepted multiple responses, but part way through coding the response, the interviewer stopped me and said "It's clear you know this." They also had already looked at GitHub profile and made specific comments about code quality.
