It was a written test followed by virtual interview.

Interview is basically done to understand the weakness. This is what happened in my case at least. As post interview during CTC discussions I was told I was not good in interview as the panel did not understand many of things with respect to work and presentation. However, the portfolio dump during the interview was the same work that I had done during internship with them and was not absorbed due Covid related financial issues in 2020. This weakness of mine as per them was used for salary negotiations before finalising the appointment. I could not opt out as I knew the quality of work and client, as well I had and have good relationship with the team.
