I initially found the job posting listed only on Ivy Tech's jobs database (jobs.ivytech.edu). I applied in November 2009 by electronically submitting a resume, a cover letter, professional references, my salary history, and my unofficial transcripts (both BA and MA). I got a phone call in March 2010 from the Valparaiso campus HR office requesting an on-campus interview to take place at the Gary campus HR office. I was interviewed by a panel of six people (deans, HR folks, TRiO associates, etc.), and I was asked a very standard set of predetermined questions. I answered all questions and asked some of my own. The interview ended, and I learned a month later that the position had been filled.
