Lots of non-experienced managers interviewing other non-experienced managers, so the decision is pretty much left up to how well you B.S. Questions are vague, and pretty much based on your responses. Not a lot of thought into setting reasonable expectations at the time of interview, and for the most part no one in management really cares, they just need bodies for the constant rotation in employee turn over. Whoever's been there the longest is the manager, by default, and that usually means someone with no expectations or regard from themselves, their employees, or their customers.
