I applied online and received an email about a week later asking if I had time to talk about the role. I called back expecting an initial screening, however quickly found myself in a very technical phone interview. Even though I was not made aware that it was going to be a technical interview, I aced all the questions having the rep comment that "I was the first one of the 10 people he had talked to that answered each question to his satisfaction." Another week went by and I received a email from an hiring manager asking to set up an interview. I then responded back that I would be available for a call the very next morning. I called back and left a voicemail. I never received any other responses from the company even after several follow up calls and emails. A very unprofessional end to my flirtation with the company. I mean I've been ghosted many times in my personal relationships but never like that in the business world. Maybe it is just this new generation.
