Entrevista
Pretty standard process, I applied online, received a call from HR and went through a screening call with the hiring manager and an onsite interview with three people in the technical team and a very cool tour of the facility.
The onsite interview itself was a little strange though. I was talking with some of the giants in the world of Java development and their were no direct technical questions, no problem solving, and no discussion of prior projects. I got the distinct impression that, due to their very small and extremely high-caliber team, they are looking first and foremost for a good fit for personality, temperament and philosophy, and so the questions were more about my opinions and preferences. It wasn't unpleasant - they are all really nice guys - it was just unusual and disorienting.
Apparently I was not a fit because I was informed in a form-email that I would not be proceeding.
I said the experience was negative, not because I didn't get the job, but because of the lack of transparency in the process. I was lead to believe this was the final, technical interview, and in fact it was barely technical and would not have been the final as I found out on the way out of the building they do a second onsite for successful candidates. They were not willing to provide any feedback.
