Had phone screen with hiring manager, then had phone screen with company recuriter both in the same day. Set up face to face interview with the hiring manager two weeks later( he was on vacation) . Received another phone screen calendar invite prior to the face to face interview, three days later that phone screen was cancelled without any feedback. I had my face to face interview in mid March. The hiring manager was 25 minutes late to the interview and did not apologize. I followed up with him about week later and he indicated that He couldn’t hire me as a Lead Sales Engineer but he would “probably” bring me in as a Senior Sales Engineer position and he would get back to me soon.l as he had a few more to check out. 3 weeks later I pinged him via e-mail and didn’t hear back.I waited another two weeks and he replied back within an hour saying he didn’t have any Senior Sales Engineer positions available. A quick check of their website shows an opening for one. While I do understand that there are many different variables, don’t commit to that you’d bring some one on board in an email and then flat out lie that you didn’t have any positions.
