I applied through LinkedIn for Frontend profile. I was surprised to see that some top executive from the company replied back asking for my expected CTC and notice period. I mentioned the same to him and he scheduled my First Round of Interview. First Round - This round went swimmingly. I was asked to create an HTML page using the provided design and some basic angular and js questions. The interview panel had 5 ppl and they were all very kind. The problems begin after the FIrst Round. I had applied for the Role of Angular Dev and they had made it seem as such till the first interview. After the first interview, they now suddenly wanted a FullStack Dev and the I was notified of the same. I wasn't in touch with backend skills recently but I still agreed to give the interview. Second Round - Probably the worst interview experience of my life. The interviewer was highly unprofessional and arrogant and started laughing at me mid interview and on checking after the interview, he was laughing at a correct answer. He just wanted to put me down instead of checking my knowledge. I kept my calm and just completed the interview. The icing on the cake was that on being selected after both the interviews, they told me they couldn't match my expected salary, after that top executive himself had scheduled my interview after knowing my expectations. They said they only give 20-30% increments over the current salary. So, as it turns out, they were just wasting my time and their own. A serious thumbs down.
