I came in, the sales floor only had one girl working and she couldn't keep up with the many customers that were present in the store at that time. I was surprised she was the only one working. I came up to her and said that I have an interview.
She gave me a personality test to fill out on a small electronic device thingy. After I finished it, I noticed another sales girl come in and out of the backroom and doing something at the registers. The girl then informed the store manager, who was in the back room with yet another sales girl, that I was here for the interview.
I was then asked to go to the back to meet with the manager. I sat down with her for a one on one interview and then there was a small activity at the end to go on the floor and pick out an outfit. She asked A LOT of questions. Some of them seemed repetitive. Really, she asked way too many questions, considering the clearly abundant amount of experience I had for the sales position.
She was nice, but after talking to her for a while about the position, I got the feeling that they didn't even need to hire anyone. I felt like my two hours at the store were wasted. As I walked out of the interview, I secretely hoped I wouldn't have to work there - there were a lot of customers present, but the one girl I met at the beginning was still the only one rushing to help every customer. The other too were up by the registers chattering.

In the back room, no styling a mannequin as seen sometimes, pretty average but some confusing questions, questions about experience, scheduling, pay, skills, how to resolve conflicts, your relationships with customers or coworkers , accomplishments, etc.
Interview was good. Basic questions. A couple questions about style like what is my favorite fashion trend at the moment. Overall an average interview. Other questions were about customer service.
In person interview ~40 min, was an average interview with normal questions. Got an offer the day of through a phone call later that day. Overall average interview process, start with phone call and ended with offer over the phone.
