When i got there, they gave me a 70 + question personality test in the form of a bunch of statements where I had to fill in a bubble for Strongly disagree, Disagree, Neutral/ NA, Agree, Strongly Agree. My advice for this portion is to just be honest, DON'T try to cater to what you think they want. Also, if you are filling this out and then going in for your interview after, do not take a lot of time on it. They expect you to be done in about 15 to 20 minutes, so don't try to over think your answers. After I finished, I brought it back and the hiring manager took my test and started keying in the answers into her computer. She said that I could look and walk around the store until she finished. I noticed while I was walking around that the other workers were watching me even though there were customers in the store. I'm guessing that they were just evaluating me, and seeing if I were comfortable in the store. I circled the entire store twice, looking at the different products and picking out a few key items to use as reference for the interview if needed. Once the manager finished with my test, we went to a back room for the interview. Some of the questions I remember from the interview were Tell me about yourself What do you know about maurices? Why do you want to work here? Why should we hire you? Give me three words that describe you. At the end of this interview, she asked if I had any questions so I responded by asking about pay and hours. This store really pushes credit card and sales goals. The amount of hours you receive in a week directly correlates to how much you sell. (If you sell 10% of total sales, you can expect about 10% of the total hours available for a week.) After that, we shook hands and we walked back out to the store. She told me when I could expect to hear from her if I would be considered for the second round of interviews, and then I left. Overall, the interview wasn't bad. The manager was really nice and never overbearing. I felt like I was having a conversation with her more than an interview.

In the back room, no styling a mannequin as seen sometimes, pretty average but some confusing questions, questions about experience, scheduling, pay, skills, how to resolve conflicts, your relationships with customers or coworkers , accomplishments, etc.
