Once you submit your application (which should ALWAYS be in-store, not online, just in case your manager is like mine was, and she only ever looked at in store written applications), make sure you follow up (preferably in person, find out when the gen. manager is gonna be working) and introduce yourself in person. It makes a great inpression, and shows off what is hopefully your winning personality, which is a valuable asset for Maurices since it is customer service oriented. They ask you questions like "Tell about a time when you had to convince/influence someone" - and they are basically looking for how well you can sell products, so talk about that, and how you did it by explaining all of the benefits (be specific) that a 'yes' decision would bring that person. They might ask you what your favorite store is and why, why you want to work for Maurices (do research about the company before the interview), tell about a time when you were put into a difficult position and what you did, tell about a rewarding experience you had, etc. Don't be nervous or quiet - Be outgoing, show off your personality, take the interview seriously, but dont be serious (boring, or like you have a stick up your butt).
