I interviewed with this company for two months and they all seemed confused about how they wanted to pitch themselves right from the beginning. No other company I have interviewed with has taken so long! Mostly, they thought, “Oh it’s a startup, no two days are alike” will make them sound correct. The two people who interviewed me told me about two very different hiring processes. That was surprising because how can you not know your own company’s hiring rounds? Finally, neither of them turned out to be correct! I cleared the rounds and suddenly they all disappeared for several weeks! And then reappeared one day to say that their newly-hired colleague will do the next interview. Finally, when that interview happened, this person asked me a couple of questions that were not related to the position. It’s a little funny to me because I had done similar jobs for several years and had earned a lot of promotions in the field. Anyway, I got rejected eventually. But honestly, I feel greatly relieved for that today!!
