Total chaos! Applied online. Had a great phone call with the recruiter. The call was followed by a phone interview with the hiring manager who was late for the call by 5-6 minutes. Based on what he shared about the company it appeared that the company is experiencing explosive growth, engineering staff going from 30 to 150 or so by the end of year and needed help at all different levels. I was really pumped up about the opportunity. Interview was about what I did in past and what I wanted to do in future. I had a question after the interview and reached out the recruiter and the hiring manager. Forget about the answer, that’s when I realized that recruiter and coordinator didn’t even know each other. The hiring manager didn’t respond until I told him that I’m withdrawing from consideration. I think the engineering team lacks leadership and experience big time.
