I was contacted by a recruiter in early 2022. I was very excited (being a former Nike Athlete in the stores) , and happy about the opportunity. After a quick screening with the recruiter(he asked about my past experience with Nike, if I was willing to relocate, and what my salary expectations are), I was moved to the next step, which was applying for the positions recommended by the hiring manager. I applied for two, and then I didn’t hear anything for a month. After following up with the recruiter, I got the rejection emails. I didn’t even get a chance to talk to any hiring manager, and as a Planner, that was of the utmost importance. Honestly, I would have rather not have been contacted at all, had I known this is how they handle former store Athletes. A stark difference to how I was treated when I worked in the store. An Incredibly disheartening experience.
