I have been plumbing for 7 years now and have had one employer prior to octopus which didn't really require an interview as such so I was intrigued as to what the day would be like. My main contact throughout was Steph Sims who was absolutely brilliant in keeping me updated and also being there when I had any questions or queries, I then met Steph at the interview day so it was nice to put a face to the emails! The interview day itself was well thoughout and ran smoothly. After taking a colourblind test I was sat on the outside of a group of tables which is where people were having their interviews done so it was reassuring to see how friendly the interviewers were and also get an idea of questions being asked. I also had to do a practical test which was simple but relevant and good to see that they were also wanting to see a bit of proof of people capabilities which I thought was great. If I didn't get the Jon I would still have been very pleased to have attended the interview as it was a good insight as to what people are looking for and how thorough octopus are.
