I was contacted by email by a junior HR person and then scheduled to speak to a recruiter. The interview was very "Pimco" to the point, focused heavily on my technical understanding of fixed income (they always ask about bond valuation, convexity and duration) at a high level. The recruiter was short, seemingly disinterested or annoyed, and clearly in a hurry to get the interview over with. After the interview I was told that someone would reach back to inform me of the outcome. I tried following up once and was told to wait another week. When nobody provided and update, I wrote back again to the recruiter, and also to the HR person. No response. The truth is that if this was the first time I have the exact same experience with Pimco I would not rate this as a negative experience. However, this was the second time they reached out to me, and the second time that I experienced the exact same behavior described above.

Consulting type of interview. We went through many different questions all very hands-on practical questions that I only would've known if I had more experience, even though I was a new hire. I really was thrown off as I thought this was a asset management company.
