I had an interview with recruiter, hiring manager and his manager all straight three days in a row. All interviews went really well. Hiring manager and his manager both asked for my availability to start as quickly as possible. (they apparently need to fill up position as quickly as possible) Hiring manager asked for my references after 2nd interview. I emailed him that if he was going to check with them after final interview and he said recruiter is going to. Then recruiter reached out to all 3 of my references. When I followed up with hiring manager at the end of week, he mentioned they still have 2 more interviews to go. Then they will discuss who to hire. Hiring manger has been very prompt with his replies. My question why would check my references if you are still interviewing other people? why waste my references time. To top that, They fired the person hired over me in three months. Quoting hiring manager ‘that guy was unqualified’. Now they opened the position again. I will ask anyone to not to apply for this position. there is something wrong with the hiring manager or maybe his manager, Hiring manager is not skilled enough to make an hire or his manager doesn’t trust him. I feel like hiring manager is not skilled.
